My approach is different to most of the advice out there, both online and offline. Why? Because I’ve lived this experience, and I understand first-hand how it feels to be in your shoes. Rather than cutting out a long list of foods, I will encourage you to reintroduce foods to your diet. Foods that you love and that love you back. 

My journey started exactly where you are today — in pain, feeling hopeless and desperately searching for a solution. Following an unresolved urinary tract infection, I was diagnosed with interstitial cystitis (IC). And truthfully, it had a totally devastating effect on my life (read more here).

I needed to pee every 20 minutes; I couldn’t walk to the shop or carry a shopping bag without lying down, and sitting on a chair for more than a few minutes was agony due to pelvic pain.

My abdomen was permanently swollen, and wearing trousers, jeans or anything tight-fitting was impossible!  

I was in chronic pain, scared, lonely and downright miserable. My bladder was controlling and limiting my life.

When you work with me on my Heal your Bladder programme, you get access to a vast range of clinical health tests using advanced gene technology from reputable clinical laboratories you can rely on including: comprehensive urine analysis, vaginal microbiome and gut health testing. Some tests are included in the programme, others can be added as required.

We’ll run a urinary and vaginal microbiome test which provides information on the microbes that reside there using DNA based technology. This is a fantastic option if your chronic UTI symptoms persist, despite a negative urine culture. INCLUDED.

We’ll also rule out vitamin D deficiency which is essential for UTI prevention. INCLUDED.

  • I cannot guarantee results, as your success lies in your hands and within your actions. This programme is 50% me, 50% you - but I guarantee that I will be guiding you every step of the way!​ Everyone's body is unique and while I can give you all the tools and knowledge you need to support a healthy bladder everyone's journey varies.

  • Monthly 1:1 calls will be delivered via Zoom. You will receive an email with a Zoom link before your session. After your initial consultation, we will also arrange a 30-minute check-in call to chat about your progress and answer any questions you may have. I also offer ongoing chat support throughout the programme, so you feel supported at each stage of the process.

  • I do! You have the choice to pay in full for a one-off payment of €3997 at the beginning of the programme, or you can opt for a monthly payment plan of 6 x payments of €699.

  • It depends on the severity of your symptoms and what we’re dealing with. I tailor all advice to your specific needs. I’m not a huge fan of extreme food elimination diets because food intolerance is not the root problem – it’s merely a symptom of unhappy gut/bladder dysfunction. I believe that when we sort out the underlying issues and support a healthy bladder and gut, food intolerances usually go away.

  • I will let you know if I think additional testing would be helpful in your particular case so you have all the information available to you. For instance, the option to add comprehensive stool testing, small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) testing, or specific blood tests but there is zero obligation to make any further commitments. I will recommend supplements to support your bladder journey and these are charged separately. All my Heal your Bladder clients get a 10% lifetime discount on supplements.

  • I have a referral network of private GPs (medical practitioners) who I can refer you to if you wish to seek further medical support or prescriptions (fees apply).

  • I'm a Registered Nutritional Therapist (mBANT, CNHC) with ten years experience. My experience extends to consultancy work for BBC Scotland TV and Radio, the cancer charity Rainbow Valley, Nuffield Health, Peppy Health, and Revive Yoga Breaks. I'm a published co-author in this academic paper evaluating weight loss programmes. My main areas of expertise are gut health and bladder pain as a result of dealing with my own painful bladder condition. You can read more about me here.
